The Private Eye Writers of America has announced the nominees for the 2018 Shamus Awards, and we are thrilled that four of our authors have received recognition for their work!
Danny Gardner’s A NEGRO AND AN OFAY, featuring 1950s-era Chicago PI Elliot Caprice, was nominated for Best First Private Eye Novel.
And three stories were nominated for Best P.I. Short Story: “Out of Business” by Eric Beetner and “Breakage” by Reed Farrel Coleman from DOWN & OUT: THE MAGAZINE VOLUME 1 ISSUE 1, edited by Rick Ollerman; and “Windward” by Paul D. Marks from COAST TO COAST: PRIVATE EYES FROM SEA TO SHINING SEA, edited by Andrew McAleer and Paul D. Marks.
The winners will be announced at a banquet during Bouchercon in St. Petersburg in September.
Congratulations to all the nominees!
