Valester Jones was born in Los Angeles, Ca. and lived in the peaceful city of Pasadena, Ca. until he was twelve years of age. Then his family moved to the west side of Chicago, IL.
In Chicago, Valester was introduced to gangbanging. He joined a street gang and thus began his life of crime. His crime and his addiction to the drug habit came to a screeching halt when he was sentenced to 25 years in the Florida Prison System. Halfway through his 25 year bid Valester came to realized he needed to change his life or he would surly die in prison.
He enrolled into a one year (in house), drug program and began to make positive changes in his life.
During this time, Valester began to fast, pray and study the Scriptures deeply. He also obtained his GED, trades and found out he had the talent to write books. The other prisoners loved his writing, mainly because he wrote from experience. He could write about things so clearly that it took inmates out of prison and placed them back on the streets and into the “hood”.
So come join Valester as he takes you on a journey that you will never forget. One that you will be thrilled to share with family and friends.
Valester is now in his twelfth year of recovery from alcohol and drugs. He presently works in Tampa, Florida helping men and women who have done time in jail or prison, teaching them how to change their lives for the better.
